Celebrating the design + style of luxe weddings across canada, the usa + beyond

Join us in celebrating unlimited luxury wedding inspiration! The 2019 WedLuxe Show, "Modern Artisma: Weddings As Art," is taking place THIS Sunday, January 13 in Toronto, Canada.

Below is a sneak peek of what's to come at the 2019 Show and don't forget to buy your ticket in advance and save time at check-in!

As you step off the elevators onto the 7th floor, our "Mirror, Mirror" Grand Entry welcomes you to the show. Upon entering, you'll be inspired by one of the hottest upcoming wedding trends of 2019: reflective surfaces paired with floral and texture.

Adjacent to the Grand Entry, located in the foyer, is our exclusive Portrait Lounge. Styled with white upon white and layered with luxe props, we're setting the stage for an amazing (and complimentary!) professional portrait session available to each and every guest to remember their experience at the WedLuxe Show.

Located in the Round Room, you'll find The Bubble Bar! Be sure to sample all sorts of yummy bubble-inspired treats and refreshments, all included with admission. We'll have lots of other fun surprises here, too!

The WedLuxe Runway is a show within the show, and will showcase couture gowns and bespoke menswear in an atelier-inspired environment. We are thrilled to have an exclusive showcase of gowns from Ashi Studio, one of the most pre-eminent and influential couture bridal gown designers in the world, gracing the stage this year. Be sure to see the runway show during one of the several time slots.

Late-night snacks are one of our fav wedding treats, so we're amping it up with our luxe version of a Midnight Snack Bar in partnership with Toronto's famed culinary company (and our host presenting partners), Oliver & Bonacini. Go ahead and indulge in complimentary tastings of comfort food at its absolute best!

To celebrate "Living Coral," the newly announced Pantone Color of the Year, we invite you to enjoy a refreshing (non-alcoholic) welcome beverage while you peruse the show.

The acclaimed (and always fun) WedLuxe Gift Bar takes centre stage this year in the Concert Hall. Access to this one-of-a-kind "complimentary shopping experience" is included with every ticket. Selection is first come, first served, though we guarantee goodies for EVERY guest.

See you at the 2019 WedLuxe Show!

This Glitterati Style File (featured in the latest issue of WedLuxe!) combines everything we love about Paris: its effortless elegance, tree-lined streets, and decadent patisserie! The City of Lights also happens to have some of the most beautiful architecture in the world, which is why The Omni King Edward Hotel (with its Hausmannian-esque interior) was the perfect setting for this shoot.

Michelle and Mark tied the knot this past summer in a seriously swoon-worthy wedding filled with white roses. No stranger to the wedding industry (Michelle is the owner of both Sincerely Yours Events and Fancy Pufs Organic Cotton Candy), the bride planned the celebration herself and made sure it was a true reflection of who they are as a couple. From the velvet invitation suite to the fun cotton candy wall at the reception, Michelle and Mark's special day was filled with sweet surprises! See more in the Winter/Spring 2019 issue of WedLuxe Magazine, on newsstands now.

Known for creating some of the most lavish weddings in Phuket and across Thailand, IAMFLOWER spoke exclusively with the WedLuxe Global Trend Report about how they got started in the industry, their design process, and some of their favourite magical, must-visit spots in Thailand!

Thank you for speaking with us! When and how did you get started in the event planning industry?

In 2008, we first collaborated with a hotel and an event planner. At the beginning, not many people knew about us, but as we began to consider Phuket as a destination and think about who our target customer would be, as well as the reputation we wanted to focus on, we decided to focus on serving high-end customers who are looking to host a luxurious, elegant wedding. Since then, we have continued to develop our products and services to become known in the industry for designing some of the most lavish weddings in the world.

How would you describe IAMFLOWER’s signature design style?

Lavish and elegant.

Tell us about trends in your line of work. What trends have been big in 2018?

Free form has been a major trend this year. By that, we mean the style that we create to look as natural as possible, while at the same time causing chills to those who look at it, because of how gorgeous and luxurious it appears. This trend will continue into 2019, as it inspires some of the most memorable weddings.

What is your favourite location within Thailand for weddings?

Phuket is the ultimate location, as it’s next to the beach and features the clear water and blue sky.

Where would be your dream part of the world to produce a wedding?

One day, we would love to produce a wedding in Paris, France - the capital of love!

What is your process when a bride and groom first contact you about planning their wedding?

We always seek to obtain as much information about a couple as possible, so we can get to know what they want and what we can do for them. If the couple doesn’t have any idea about their desired wedding style, we will advise them and assist them with every detail. If they already have a plan in mind, we will create everything to go as planned and bring their dream wedding to life.

What are your favorite florals and color schemes to use when planning a wedding?

For florals, we mostly use roses, peonies, and hydrangea, however, the colour scheme will always depend on the current trends, as well as the desires and preferences of our customers.

What has been your biggest event planning challenge?

For one wedding in Koh Samui, we had a time limit that only allowed for one hour to completely set up all the decor from start to finish! The timing was challenging, but naturally, we completed it on time.

What is the most lavish and luxurious wedding or event you’ve ever worked on?

We once did the decor for a wedding in Phang Nga, for which we only used the most high-end flowers to cover a wall, the floor, and the rooftop. We set up a structure that we hung flowers from to make it flawlessly appear as though the flowers were growing naturally from up high.

What is your favourite wedding that you’ve designed and executed?

The theme of the wedding was “Pure of White with a Little Bit of Green.” The arch we designed was entirely covered with white roses, with additional flowers hanging down to make it look like a waterfall. The aisle was surrounded by floral and candles that were waiting to be lit when the sun went down. Petals were spread all around for the couple to walk down the aisle on.

Where is your favourite place to travel?

We love to visit Switzerland.

What is your favourite part of working in the event planning industry?

Designing an arch and all of the floral structures are usually our favourite elements.

What are the top three destinations or activities you would recommend to someone visiting Thailand for the first time?

First-time visitors must go see Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Bangkok. As for activities, we recommend a visit to the elephant sanctuary, where baby elephants are cared for. It is not a place to ride elephants, but rather a humane place to feed them, play with them, and observe them in their habitat.

Exploring the night market and sampling food from every part of Thailand is a must! It is also important to learn the culture and traditions by visiting local villages and meeting the people of Thailand.

What’s next for IAMFLOWER in 2019?

In 2019, we are launching a new business as a wholesaler for our own florals.
