2nd Grade Teacher Lauren Henrique received her first DM from NHL player Adam Henrique (centre for the Anaheim Ducks) in the summer of 2016 after a friend of Adam’s suggested he follow her on IG! Three months later, the couple went on their first date, walking the edge of Toronto’s CN-Tower, and their relationship grew from there.
Adam proposed on Christmas morning 2020. “After micro-managing the gift opening (not suspicious at all), he saved the best for last,” says Lauren. “I opened up a sign that said “will you marry me?”, and when I turned around he was on his knee with the ring.”
The couple was married in Toronto, Ontario in the summer of 2021.
