Some love stories are instant. Others—like Victor Cicione and Veronica De Filippis Cicione’s —take years to align. Though they spent more than a decade unknowingly orbiting each other through mutual friends, it wasn’t until one fateful night at a party that sparks finally flew. After five years together, Victor planned a picture-perfect autumn proposal at a vineyard in Ontario, complete with a wine tasting and surrounded by the season Veronica loves most. Their October 5, 2024 wedding at The Terrace was a reflection of their shared appreciation for fall and interior design—cozy-meets-chic, with warm tones, clean lines, and just the right amount of drama.

. Before heading to the church for their ceremony, the couple took portraits at Veronica’s grandparents’ home—the same place her parents had taken their wedding photos more than 35 years earlier. It was a deeply sentimental, full-circle moment that added emotional resonance to an already meaningful day.

, with sleeves and a reworked bodice to suit her vision. White Toronto also created her morning pajama set from leftover dress materials, while her father’s pocket square was made from scraps of her wedding gown fabric.
The ceremony was unforgettable for another reason. “I was so excited to see Victor that I ran into his arms at the altar,” Veronica shared. “It wasn’t planned and definitely not typical for a church ceremony—but it was completely us.”

provided the exquisite floral and decor design, layering rich, sculptural arrangements with moody lighting, concrete vessels, and textured blooms that brought the season’s depth to life.
HIGH ENERGY EVENING
The celebration unfolded with a mix of fun, unexpected moments that kept the energy high all evening. A mirrored photobooth gave guests a chance to capture stylish snapshots, while a content creator documented behind-the-scenes moments throughout the day. A custom vinyl dance floor with a geometric pattern added a bold visual element to the space, while the music kept guests on their feet from the first dance through the final song. After the wedding, Veronica and Victor traveled to Amsterdam, Dubai, and London for an unforgettable honeymoon. A highlight of their trip was staying at a luxury hotel in Dubai’s Palm area, where they were wowed by the architecture and culture. Veronica works in corporate partnerships, while Victor is a project manager. The couple currently resides just outside Toronto.
