REAL WEDDINGS / ITALY

A Chandelier-Lit Tuscany Villa Wedding at Villa Pazzi

Bride in a white gown stands beside a groom in a black tuxedo, seated at an elegant, flower-adorned reception table with chandeliers overhead. Both hold wine glasses and smile at the camera, capturing the romance of a Tuscany villa wedding.

At Villa Pazzi al Parugiano, Jennifer and Travis paired soft florals and handmade paper with a chandelier-lit dinner that made Tuscany feel entirely their own.

Restraint gave the wedding its point of view. White and blush established the palette, while dusty rose and muted violet brought depth to the flowers, paper pieces, and table. A custom floral pattern moved through the day in quieter ways, appearing on the Vespa welcome sign, seating chart, and printed dinner napkins. The effect was romantic without becoming precious, and polished without competing with the villa’s weathered stone, olive trees, and open views.

The celebration unfolded as a sequence of distinct settings rather than one repeated look. Jennifer and Travis moved from the villa’s formal interiors to a ceremony in the olive grove, an aperitivo in the garden, and dinner on the altana. Jennifer’s clean gown, sweeping train, pearl-dotted veil, and oversized bow brought a strong fashion line to every location, while Travis’s black tuxedo kept their portraits crisp against the pale architecture. By night, crystal chandeliers and candlelight shifted the same soft palette into something warmer and more dramatic.

Pearls, Peonies, and a First Look Through the Villa

The morning began with handmade stationery, blush ribbons, wax seals, pearl-covered shoes, and rings arranged against pale textiles. Jennifer carried the softness into her bridal look with a bouquet of white peonies and a gown defined by its sculptural back bow. In the villa’s long gallery, her train and veil traced the marble floor while paintings, carved furniture, and tall windows gave the photographs a sense of scale. Travis prepared in a black tuxedo before meeting her outside, where their first look moved from anticipation to laughter within a few frames. The portraits connected fashion and place without turning either into a costume.

Vows Beneath Olive Trees and Blush Flowers

In the olive grove, loose petals marked the grassy aisle and two asymmetrical floral columns framed the way forward. Peonies, roses, hydrangea, and trailing amaranthus carried the white-and-blush palette into the landscape, with dusty violet adding just enough contrast. The arrangements were generous, but the old trees and stone doorway remained visible beyond them. That balance kept the ceremony connected to Tuscany rather than making it feel like a set placed inside it.

Jennifer entered with her bouquet held low, allowing the gown’s clean lines and pearl veil to remain visible. She and Travis exchanged vows between the floral columns before kissing beneath the olive branches. Their recessional brought the first burst of movement, with petals underfoot and guests close on either side of the aisle. From there, the celebration opened into the garden for drinks and food.

A Vespa Welcome and Tuscan Garden Aperitivo

Their recessional carried the celebration straight into the garden, where a white Vespa became the welcome moment for aperitivo. Parked beside a table of chilled drinks, flowers, and the couple’s custom patterned sign, it gave guests an immediate sense of place. Nearby, a chef prepared food while citrus, white flowers, and small composed desserts kept the presentation fresh and relaxed. The scene felt distinctly Italian without relying on a heavy theme. Jennifer and Travis joined their guests at small tables beneath the greenery before everyone moved toward the altana for dinner.

The custom floral motif returned on the seating chart and individual tasseled cards before appearing again on the printed napkins at each place setting. Repeating it at different scales made the paper story feel connected without becoming overly matched. Jennifer and Travis walked the length of the table, then settled into portraits beneath the chandeliers as the light softened. With guests seated, the room changed from a composed design scene into the intimate dinner they had imagined.

Chandeliers Over One Long Table on the Altana

Dinner was the visual centre of the wedding. One long table ran beneath crystal chandeliers suspended from greenery-wrapped arches, creating a strong line through the villa’s covered altana. White linens and flowers kept the foundation light, while pink taper candles, gold details, and the patterned tile floor added warmth. The chandeliers were formal, but the open sides of the space kept the Tuscan landscape present throughout the evening.

Champagne, Sculptural Bows, and a White Mini Dress

Before dinner gave way to dancing, Jennifer and Travis returned to the villa and gardens for portraits that emphasized the strongest lines of their fashion. Her train stretched across the lawn, the oversized bow framed the back of the gown, and a dip inside the painted gallery brought movement to the formal interior. Outside, a champagne tower stood before a carved wooden doorway framed with blush and white flowers. The couple poured together, raised their glasses, and let the symmetry of the setting do the rest.

A tall white cake carried the bow motif into dessert, surrounded by hydrangea and roses beneath the villa’s arched entrance. Jennifer and Travis cut it after dark before she changed into a short white dress for the dance floor. Heart-shaped sunglasses, loosened ties, and drinks in hand replaced the composed formality of the earlier portraits. The wedding closed exactly where an intimate celebration should, with the couple laughing among the people who had travelled to Tuscany with them.
