In the bustling world of York University’s computer lab, a serendipitous schedule conflict brought groom Ojan into the same workspace as bride Nazanin. While each was focused on their own computer science projects, little did they know that their paths were aligning towards a shared future. As they worked side by side, their casual conversations blossomed into a deep connection, setting the foundation for a love story that would transcend university walls. On the momentous occasion of their fifth anniversary, Ojan orchestrated a magical proposal at Abbozzo Gallery, transforming it into a ‘Gallery of Love’ adorned with mementos of their journey together. Overwhelmed with emotion and surrounded by memories, Nazanin joyfully accepted Ojan’s heartfelt proposal, stepping into a new chapter of their lives together.
The Persian-inspired wedding was held at EAGLES NEST GOLF CLUB. Event planning, design assistance, and Sofreh design were provided by La Violetta Events with floral design and decor by Bana Florist. The ceremony occurred in front of the golf club’s pond, with stunning clubhouse views and a magical breeze blowing through. The Sofreh featured a three-layered spread that blended traditional Persian elements with modern touches like glass and plexi. The officiant was a close family friend, which was one of the day’s most meaningful aspects.
The reception unfolded in The Great Hall of EAGLES NEST GOLF CLUB, where design elements of sweeping curves, elegant arches, and chandeliers adorned with white roses, orchids, and lush greenery echoed the couple’s passion for Italian elegance. As dusk enveloped the venue, the air came alive with the soul-stirring melodies of a renowned Persian singer from Los Angeles. Performing the couple’s cherished songs that marked the milestones of their friendship, the singer set the perfect backdrop for a night of celebration. Ojan and Nazanin danced into the early hours, enveloped by the love of their family and friends, their hearts brimming with the joy of their own fairy-tale ending.
