The months of June and July filled our Instagram feed with society weddings taking place in far flung destinations, from St. Tropez to Normandy and beyond! Filled with breathtaking florals, couture designer gowns, and multi-day celebrations, these are just a few of the society weddings that have inspired us this summer.

Nicky Hilton

Nicky Hilton's custom high-neck Valentino gown had the internet abuzz earlier this month. She and James Rothschild married at Kensington Palace in London. The bride wore three pairs of custom Louboutin heels throughout the day, and changed into a short, sparkly mini-dress for the reception.

Sabine Ghanem

Famed jewellery designer, Sabine G, and financier Joseph Getty's wedding in Rome is generally considered the wedding of the summer (so far!) The three day event started with a Dangerous Liasons fancy dress party at Palazzo Taverna. The ceremony held the following day took place at Santi Apostoli church, a basilica that dates back to the sixth century. The bride wore a Schiaparelli couture dress and cape, as well as custom embroidered Charlotte Olympia shoes to match. She accessorized with her own jewellery and TWO custom Olympia Le-Tan clutches, a gift from the designer, while her bridesmaids wore custom Mary Katrantzou. The bride wore a summery lilac hued Valentino Couture gown for their civil ceremony, and changed into a second cloud-printed gown by the same designer later in the evening. It is rumoured that their wedding celebrations will take place on the picturesque Italian Borromean Islands, which are owned by Beatrice's family, tomorrow (August 1st) and that Beatrice will wear Armani Privé for this event.

In honour of #FlowerFriday and marking the end of British Flowers Week, today we're rounding up our favourite #Flowergram's from the festival. Reflecting the classic English garden (a look that is extremely well-manicured, despite a deceivingly haphazard and natural appearance) the bouquets and arrangements by English floral designers use less homogenous blooms, and feature flowers of English tradition, such as wild irises, peonies, garden roses, sweet violets and paperweights.

At British Flower Week, the flowers that are celebrated have a more natural feel and form and the growers pride themselves in showcasing blooms that reflect what is currently in season. This isn't to say that the florals aren't trend driven or fashion forward, as evidenced by the floral couture gown created by Zita Elze primarily out of British larkspur.
