For food and wine connoisseurs, the Chandon brand has long been synonymous with excellence, so it should come as no surprise that Chandon’s winery, Chandon Home, is the quintessential location for a winery-inspired event and a one-of-a-kind celebration that exceeds all expectations.
Chandon was one of very the first wineries to be established in the United States by Robert-Jean de Vogüé and California pioneer John Wright. Today, Chandon is America’s leading sparkling wine producer, known for applying “methode traditionnelle” (that’s French for traditional techniques!) to showcase the ripe fruit and vibrant character of California.
From expansive lawns (with extraordinary views) to intimate, tucked-away spaces, Chandon offers a variety of beautiful al fresco spaces to host small private groups or bigger celebrations with up to 350 of your nearest and dearest. The Oak Grove (100-250 guests) is a naturally shaded space with a unique layout meandering amongst the 100-year-old oak trees. You and your guests will have views of the vineyard, Yountville, and the Stags Leap District. The Chandon Garden (featuring natural California grasses and native oak trees along its edges) is their biggest space, where up to 350 can be hosted.
Chandon is for foodies! If you love a farm-to-table familial experience, this is the place for you! Born in Colombia, Chandon’s Chef de Cuisine Juan Cabrera, fostered a passion for epicureanism at a young age. Learning to cook from his grandmother, Chef Cabrera saw her use the kitchen as a vehicle for bringing people together – cultivating her own fresh ingredients and weaving the native flavors of Columbia into warm, cooked meals. Today, Chef Cabrera brings the same sense of community into his menus, focusing on local ingredients and seasonality, incorporating elements grown on Chandon’s Yountville estate.
As you might expect, there are a few options when it comes to wines at Chandon! With a portfolio of twenty-five still and sparkling wines, Head Winemaker, Pauline Lhote, has crafted various wines ideal for any occasion. Growing up in the Champagne region of France, Lhote’s passion for winemaking was recognized by age of fourteen. After sixteen harvests with Chandon, Lhote continues to innovate with product launches that defy traditional expectations.
When it comes time to celebrate saying goodbye to the single life (hello, Bachelor and Bachelorette Weekend!), a sophisticated yet relaxed alternative to the Vegas Strip is planning a memorable weekend with your wedding party in Napa Valley! Chandon is the perfect option with unique and intimate group experiences like the Chandon TASTING FLIGHTS. The folks at Chandon describe it best when they say a tasting flight is “Where wine lovers and culture hunters meet,” but a tasting of four wines curated just for you from the impressive Chandon collection sounds like a flight we’d like to take any day, all day! Or, you can book one of the Chandon Cabanas, a semi-private garden space where you and your friends can enjoy a family-style menu (like a Lobster Boil paired with Chandon spirits!) during a two-hour savor session.
Chandon is offering you, our reader, a special booking incentive. If you book your wedding at Chandon, they’re offering a complimentary one-year anniversary celebration. Valued at $750, this food and wine experience is valid for up to six guests to celebrate your first-year anniversary.
