Before anyone sat down to dinner, Emily and Trey had already turned a corner of Napa into their own high-colour world. Coffee-table books from the couple’s home appeared throughout cocktail hour, lounge areas invited guests to settle in, and a custom dance floor gave the evening a graphic centre. Flowers by Edgar layered the palette through abundant arrangements that played beautifully against the hills and palms of Napa Valley.
Fashion kept the same confidence. Emily’s sculptural SAINT gown brought clean drama to the garden, while Trey’s black tuxedo made their portraits feel sharp and classic. Willow + Ben followed the day from soft morning light to a packed dance floor, catching the polished details without losing the family moments and party energy that made the celebration feel alive.
A Bridal Morning with Shape, Lace, and a Father First Look
The morning opened with a preview of the palette: colourful stationery, crystal-buckled shoes, jewellery, and Emily in a lace robe. Her mother helped with the finishing touches before the full gown came into view, with its sculpted strapless bodice and pleated skirt. Portraits in the garden gave the silhouette room to move, while the bridesmaids added another joyful layer of colour. Then Emily stepped outside to meet her father, shifting the mood from fashion-forward to deeply personal in an instant.
Vows Framed by Flowers and the Napa Hills
For the ceremony, pink and cream flowers climbed the aisle and gathered into a canopy at the altar, with the Napa hills still visible beyond it. The reception expanded the outdoor-living-room idea into a full landscape of curved white lounges, patterned linens, woven pendants, and low, textural flowers. Green light structures rose above the tables and echoed the surrounding scenery, while the custom dance floor added a crisp graphic break. From above, the plan looked bold and precise. At guest level, low flowers and soft seating made the room more intimate than the aerial view suggested.
As the light softened, Emily and Trey crossed the patterned floor for their first dance before dinner began among the flowers. The three-course menu highlighted seasonal Carneros produce, with braised beef short rib and polenta becoming the dish guests continued talking about. After sunset, candles and table lamps deepened the colour of the textiles and arrangements. With every seat filled, the reception finally looked exactly as it was meant to: vivid, generous, and full of life.
Espresso Martinis, Lace, and a Dance Floor That Stayed Full
Emily and Trey cut a vanilla cake layered with fresh berries and cream, but dessert did not slow the night down. She changed into a white Helsa lace look that traded the ceremony gown’s sculptural volume for something made to move. Tray-passed espresso martinis arrived as guests crowded the dance floor. From there, Willow + Ben moved into the middle of the party with them.
Emily and Trey stayed in the middle of it all, dancing close, kissing between songs, and eventually rising above the crowd as friends lifted them into the air.
