When Bold Colour Meets Puglia Stone - An Editorial Wedding Vision at Relais Histo

The most interesting wedding design rarely happens when everything matches – it happens when two aesthetics that shouldn’t work together absolutely do.

Puglia has always known how to make beauty feel inevitable. The warm stone, the terracotta, the centuries-old ceramic traditions — it is a landscape that carries its own visual language, confident and unhurried.

What makes this editorial workshop at Relais Histo so compelling is what it chose to do with that language: not echo it, but answer it.

Pops of vivid pink, yellow and orange — summery, saturated, unambiguously modern — set against the earthy neutrals of the Puglian countryside. The contrast shouldn’t work. It works completely.

Conceived as an immersive editorial workshop for photographers, filmmakers and content creators from across Europe — the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the United Kingdom and Italy among them — the production at Relais Histo was designed to showcase what a luxury celebration in Puglia can look like when an international creative team brings its own perspective to a deeply regional setting. The result is imagery that feels both rooted and forward-looking, editorial without being cold, celebratory without being generic.

The Design

The colour story runs through every space — an alfresco ceremony set-up, two contrasting reception environments (one outdoors, one within Relais Histo’s interior), each one layered with vibrant floral compositions that hold their own against the venue’s warm stone backdrop. The visual tension between the bold palette and the rustic setting is exactly the point. It is the kind of design decision that looks effortless in photographs and requires genuine conviction to execute.

At the centre of the design concept sits the pumo — one of Puglia’s most iconic symbols, traditionally crafted from ceramic and inspired by the budding Acanthus flower, representing prosperity, fertility and new beginnings. Here, local artisans reimagined the ceramic form as a floral vessel, creating a focal point that honours tradition without being constrained by it. It is a small detail that says something larger about how this workshop approached the entire project: with deep respect for regional culture and equal commitment to contemporary vision.

The Fashion

The fashion narrative across the shoot brought together two distinct creative voices. Local designer Carmela Comes contributed a lace gown whose patterns draw directly from traditional Puglian illuminations — wearable heritage, rendered with genuine craftsmanship. Czech designer Lidia Krejci provided a full wardrobe of bridal looks spanning every stage of the celebration, from getting-ready moments through to the after-party, each one bringing the international dimension of the project into the fashion story. International models Angelina Chlapik, Miss Supranational Czech Republic, and Andrea Luceri, Mister Italia, carried the combined vision with the kind of ease that makes editorial imagery feel lived-in rather than staged.

The Team

The workshop was brought to life through the vision of Exclusive Weddings In Prague Exclusive Weddings in Prague is a luxury wedding planner in Prague known for creating refined,... More | Message  in collaboration with local planner Diana Da Ros, whose deep knowledge of the region allowed an international creative team to work with authentic regional talent seamlessly. The editorial concluded not with a conventional farewell but with a vibrant spring celebration — local vendors, tourism representatives, venue partners and media dancing late into the evening to a set by DJ Claudio De Tullio, with a memorable presentation by the Lord of the Truffle that turned a creative workshop into something closer to a community event. It was, in its own way, the most Puglian ending possible.
