There is a shift happening in luxury destination weddings. Couples are moving away from celebrations designed to impress and toward ones designed to immerse. Indeed, Gabriella and Alex’s wedding at Giardini del Fuenti in Vietri sul Mare is a near-perfect expression of that moment. The venue sits on the dramatic cliffs where the Amalfi Coast begins, with the Salerno Gulf stretching open below. The Ceremony
The ceremony unfolded beneath a floral chuppah adorned with abundant blooms and flowing white drapery. Yet the structure felt entirely at home against the open Mediterranean sky. The bespoke layout created an intimacy rarely achieved at a venue of this scale. Guests gathered close to the couple with the sea behind them. As a result, the warmth of the setting balanced the formality of the occasion. Jewish tradition met Italian coastline in a way that felt considered rather than simply scenic.
The Celebration
Following the ceremony, a champagne ring wall greeted guests. That moment of playfulness set the tone for the evening. Aperitivo overlooked the coastline, the water catching the late afternoon light below. Then, as evening arrived, the celebration moved to Giardini del Fuenti’s Limoneto, the venue’s signature lemon grove terrace. Its trees hung heavy with fruit, and sparkling chandeliers threaded the canopy overhead. Long tables in white and sky blue ran beneath the trees. The scent of lemon blossom, meanwhile, carried through the warm evening air.
The Moment
The wedding cake presentation became something unexpected. Rather than a conventional cutting, Gabriella and Alex led a live show-cooking experience for their guests.
