Hearts Aglow: A Tuscan-Inspired Ritz-Carlton Toronto Wedding

Samantha and Igor met by chance outside a cocktail bar. Their nights happened to overlap, and a sidewalk conversation turned into something neither of them expected. A year and a half later, Igor led Samantha to a downtown penthouse filled with pink roses, candlelight, and a 3.5-carat diamond ring. Their Ritz-Carlton Toronto wedding on July 26, 2025, was inspired by their travels through Tuscany, and every detail reflected both their love story and their blended Chinese and Eastern European heritage.

Two Ceremonies, One Love Story

The day began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where Samantha wore a made-to-measure gown by a Hong Kong seamstress with hand-woven lace and jade earrings passed down from her mother. For the Western ceremony, she changed into a white gown with a long train, accessorised with a diamond tennis bracelet she had purchased to mark a career milestone. Igor wore a custom Canali tux. Their daughter was woven into the most heartfelt moments throughout the day, bringing a warm, family-centred presence to the entire celebration.

A Tuscan-Inspired Ballroom at The Ritz-Carlton

The Ritz-Carlton ballroom was transformed with more than 1,000 candles lining serpentine tables, creating a warm, golden glow that set the mood for the evening. COCO by Covers Couture handled the floral design and decor, repurposing dramatic ceremony installations into the reception space. The Tuscan influence ran through everything: the warm palette, the abundance of candlelight, and a design that felt romantic and grounded. With guests travelling from Asia, the US, London, and across Europe, hospitality was a priority. The couple covered hotel rooms and put together welcome bags with essentials, favourite treats, and playful touches like Game Boys and Labubu toys for the younger guests.

A Ritz-Carlton Toronto Wedding That Blended Two Worlds

Eastern European communal singing and dancing mixed with Chinese traditions to create a celebration that honoured both families. Featured in Issue 35 of WedLuxe Magazine, this Ritz-Carlton Toronto wedding was a masterclass in bringing two cultures together with warmth, intention, and incredible style.
