Mabelle and Aziz’s Lake Como destination wedding felt less like a wedding and more like stepping into a Renaissance painting. Planned by The International Wedding Planner, the celebration embraced Baroque grandeur, layering sculptural florals, hand-painted murals, and warm candlelight across one of Italy’s most iconic landscapes. Every detail was intentional, textured, and deeply atmospheric.
Old-World Architecture and Painterly Light
The neoclassical setting on Lake Como provided the perfect canvas. Guests arrived to hand-painted murals and soft candlelight flickering across sculptural floral arrangements, creating a glow that enhanced the old-world charm of the space. The design did not fight the architecture. It worked with it, pulling from Renaissance motifs and adding modern artistry to create something that felt timeless and immersive. The colour palette was rich but restrained, letting the venue and the light do the talking.
Baroque Opulence with Modern Edge
The floral design was the centrepiece. Lush, dramatic, and unapologetically romantic, the arrangements echoed the Baroque paintings that inspired the overall vision. Tables were layered with textured linens, gilded details, and candlelight that reflected off the water. The dinner felt like a scene from a period film, except the energy was contemporary, warm, and full of life. This was art-inspired design executed with real intention and real emotion.
