Emilie and Beau met in 2016 in line for the mechanical bull at a Toronto country bar. She walked up thinking he was someone else; he assumed the girls just wanted to ride and signed them up. Drinks followed, she learned he was a downtown Toronto firefighter (and Mr. July in the annual calendar), and a first date turned into six years together. The proposal came during what Emilie, a Forbes 30 Under 30 alumna, calls the best week of her life.
On May 2, 2025, Emilie and Beau married at Ste-Anne Catholic Parish in Tecumseh, the same church where her parents were married. Live trumpets and organ filled the space as they walked down the aisle. The homecoming element ran through the entire weekend, with the couple returning to Emilie’s roots in Essex County for a celebration that felt deeply personal and connected to family.
Emilie wore a Berta Couture ballgown from the Berta studio in New York, styled with a Mikimoto pearl choker and matching earrings. She carried her grandmother’s bouquet, a detail that added emotional weight to an already meaningful day. Beau matched the elegance without competing with it. The fashion choices were refined, personal, and perfectly suited to the vineyard setting.
The reception at Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery was planned by Courtney Elizabeth Events with florals by Forever Wildfield. The vineyard setting gave the evening a natural warmth, with the design layering organic textures, candlelight, and lush arrangements that felt right at home among the vines. Featured in Issue 35 of WedLuxe Magazine, this vineyard homecoming wedding was everything a celebration should be: personal, beautiful, and built on a love story worth telling.
