An Italian-Inspired Wedding Filled With Heartfelt Details

David and Elaina’s celebration brought a fresh perspective to the idea of a classic, Italian-inspired wedding – a day where thoughtful design and deeply personal choices worked in quiet harmony. From the outset, the couple envisioned an experience that balanced timeless elegance with intentionality, prioritizing the people and traditions that have shaped their lives. Their wedding unfolded as a seamless reflection of that vision, guided by a desire to bring family to the forefront and to infuse every detail with meaning.

As the youngest siblings in their respective families, David and Elaina share a long-standing admiration for the brothers and sisters who helped define their upbringing. It felt natural—and essential—that their bridal party would be made up entirely of those siblings. This choice reinforced the heart of the day: a celebration centred around connection, gratitude, and familial love. That same sentiment shaped the reception layout, where the couple opted for a family head table rather than the traditional sweetheart or bridal table. The decision allowed them to celebrate side by side with the people they cherish most while ensuring their maid of honour and best man could sit with their spouses and fully enjoy the evening.

Design played an equally significant role in shaping their Italian-inspired wedding. Wanting to echo the charm of an Italian piazza, the couple transformed the East Wing into a warm, inviting space reminiscent of evenings spent dining and celebrating al fresco in Italy. As avid travellers—and with Elaina’s Italian heritage deeply woven into their story—it felt fitting to bring those influences to life. While an overseas celebration was tempting, having loved ones present mattered more. Instead of flying abroad, they brought Italy home.

From the lush ceremony arch framing their vows to the refined tablescape arrangements, florals served as a connective thread throughout the day, enhancing the atmosphere without overpowering it.

More than an event, David and Elaina’s Italian-inspired wedding was a testament to family, intention, and the beauty of designing a celebration that feels true to who you are.
