Jenna and Owen Chick’s wedding (featured in Issue 34 of WedLuxe Magazine, Canada), embraced the warmth and intimacy of a modern celebration, designed to feel like an elegant dinner party in a stunning living and dining room worthy of Architectural Digest. With rich, moody tones and personalized details, the day balanced cozy sophistication with striking design to create an unforgettable experience.
Their love story began years ago at Western University, introduced by mutual friends. After parting ways, they naturally reconnected in the fall of 2019, just before the pandemic, quickly picking up where they left off. Both from the same hometown and sharing overlapping social circles, their relationship blossomed with ease. After five years together, Owen designed an engagement ring using a beautiful stone from Jenna’s grandmother’s ring, thoughtfully collaborating with Jenna’s best friend throughout the process. He proposed quietly one Friday evening at their Toronto home—catching Jenna by surprise, especially since their usual Friday nights at home were typically a low-key routine.
Their wedding weekend was a carefully curated celebration of warmth, intimacy, and modern sophistication. Full wedding planning—including the welcome party and goodbye brunch—was managed by Muse Event Co. , led by Ellie Eccleton. Held at the sleek and stylish Park Hyatt Toronto , the festivities began with a chic, Vogue-inspired rehearsal dinner at Sofia in Yorkville, followed by a rooftop welcome party overlooking the city skyline.
The next morning, Jenna and her bridesmaids enjoyed a relaxed start, wearing matching PJs and sharing soft glam, laughter, and champagne. Jenna wore two stunning gowns by Katherine Tash Bridal. She began in the romantic “Jules” gown, paired with DiorJ’Adore lace slingback heels visible through a dramatic side slit. Owen wore a custom tuxedo paired with Mont Blanc cufflinks.
