For bride Nila and groom Ali, their love story began with six espresso shots and a prosciutto pizza at Toronto’s Terroni rooftop—an unforgettable first impression that hinted at the bold romance to come. Six years later, the couple’s Parisian-inspired wedding brought that same sense of passion and personality to life, with a celebration that effortlessly blended French elegance and Iranian tradition. Planned to perfection by Lux Events Co. and photographed beautifully by Mango Studios, the wedding was a sensory journey through two cultures, artfully staged in the historic grandeur of the Fairmont Royal York.
Though the original dream was to wed in Paris, Nila—who faced health challenges in the lead-up to the wedding—chose to bring Paris to Toronto instead. With the help of her planner and floral designer, she curated a Parisian-inspired wedding vision rooted in romance, elegance, and culture. From powder blue draping and blue velvet accents to custom vintage tableware sourced from Los Angeles, every detail was infused with Parisian flair. Guests were welcomed into a space that felt more like an artful arrondissement than a hotel ballroom, complete with floral installations, antique statuary, and a bespoke cake showcasing ornate Parisian motifs.
The couple honored their Iranian roots with a modern take on the traditional Sofreh Aghd ceremony, layered with personal touches and presented beneath a ceiling of historic painted panels. The integration of this heritage moment with the chic Parisian aesthetic created a wedding rich in symbolism and heart.
Nila stunned in an Oscar de la Renta gown from New York City for the ceremony, followed by a custom second look from Powder Bridal for the reception. With love, laughter, and design-forward storytelling at every turn, this Parisian-inspired wedding became more than a dream realized—it was a love letter to culture, resilience, and joy.
