On a crisp January evening in 2017, Tianyi and Chen’s love story began unfolding as if destined by the stars. Introduced by mutual friends who sensed a perfect match, their first dinner together sparked an undeniable connection. Love struck swiftly and profoundly, leading Tianyi and Chen to move in together just ten days after meeting—a testament to their instant bond. Four and a half years of deepening affection culminated in a picturesque proposal in their own backyard, under the amber glow of a setting sun. Chen presented Tianyi with a uniquely designed ring, its diamond cradled by heart-shaped claws atop a rose head, symbolizing their intertwined paths. The ring inspired the design of their wedding, envisioned as a romantic prince and princess fairytale set in a rose garden.

The rose-garden-meets-fairytale-themed wedding day was held at the 120-acre Stonefields Estate, located in Carleton Place, Ontario. The couple hired FLEUR WEDDINGS & EVENTS Fleur Weddings is a boutique wedding planning company specializing in creating extraordinary celebrations for Asian... More | Message to plan and design their dream day, which came to fruition after two years of preparation. Naturally, floral and decor design by Infinitude Design featured thousands of roses. The garden ceremony began with Tianyi making her grand entrance by horse and carriage, while a harpist played “My Only.”

Adding a unique flair, the cake-cutting was done with a sword, adding a dash of drama and style to the traditional moment. The hanging flowers adorning the cake were actually exquisite sugar blooms meticulously crafted by the cake designer.
