Zemi Beach House, Anguilla: The Ultimate Destination for a Luxurious Beachfront Wedding

Located on the idyllic shores of Anguilla, Zemi Beach House offers luxury and exclusivity if you’re dreaming about a destination wedding, a luxe bachelorette/bachelor party, or a honeymoon in the Caribbean. In January of 2024, I had the chance to visit the property in person as part of a group trip with some of the best destination wedding planners and event designers in the USA, and I was left genuinely smitten with this property. Special thanks to the enormously talented photographer Jessica Rieke who captured the experience BEAUTIFULLY and world-renowned event planner and designer Brian Worley for beautifully creating the tablescapes and decor elements of our trip. Unparalleled Accommodations and Privacy
Zemi Beach House is a sanctuary offering a range of luxurious accommodations. From the moment you step into any of the 76 elegantly appointed rooms, suites, and villas, you’re welcomed into a world of refined luxury, complete with private balconies, plunge pools, and outdoor showers, promising both space and seclusion. In other words, the resort is ideal for an intimate experience or a full resort buyout for your guests. During my visit, I stayed in a three-bedroom oceanfront villa suite with two of my dearest friends. The suite was MASSIVE… we each had our own big rooms and personal bathrooms, PLUS there was a fourth full bathroom, a huge living and dining space, and a kitchen any chef would love. The sliding glass doors opened onto the massive oceanfront terrace and we had our dipping pool. We only had to walk down three stairs and we were directly on the white powdery sand!

The resort’s variety of wedding venues can cater to any couple’s desires, from beachside vows with the sand between your toes to the unique setting of the 300-year-old Zemi Thai House Spa. You can choose the oceanside, open-air main restaurant 20 Knots for indoor/outdoor events or the serene Tranquility Pool for intimate gatherings. On the first night of our visit, we enjoyed a private dinner on the terrace of Zemi Thai House Spa. The setting was magical. Between the mystical architecture of the Thai-inspired treehouse-like spa and the moonlight overhead, our group felt like we were transported to Thailand, although we were oceanside in the Caribbean!”
A Spa With History
The Zemi Thai House Spa is a testament to the resort’s commitment to unique luxury experiences. The 307-year-old structure is an authentic Thai house that was reassembled on-site and offers treatments that are a nod to ancient traditions (including the island’s only hammam), providing a tranquil retreat for you and your guests alike. There’s also a raw juice bar and a vitality pool to enjoy!
Culinary Excellence
At Zemi Beach House, dining is an experience unto itself. Whether it’s the elegant Stone restaurant serving a fusion of Caribbean and Asian cuisine or the laid-back Bohio Bar & Lounge offering light bites and sushi, the culinary options are diverse. But, it was the Rhum Room that left an indelible impression on my senses with its creativity and presentation. The intimate setting offers beautiful British West Indies decor vibes and an impressive selection of over 100 small-batch, single-estate rums. (This space would be the ultimate getting-ready location for a groom and his groomsmen or a REALLY cool bachelor/bachelorette party space.)
Privacy and Personalization
During my stay, the epitome of privacy and luxury was exemplified by not one, but two private meals on the resort’s powdery white sands, where the sense of exclusivity was palpable with no one in sight for miles. These moments under the stars, dancing the night away with sand in our toes, highlighted the resort’s ability to create intimate, personalized experiences that are both luxurious and memorable. (Kudos to our amazing DJ Ray Jarrell of Jarrell Entertainment for providing our music! Ray is based in the USA and is well known in the luxury wedding industry for being able to provide all sorts of entertainment for events of all sizes!) We also enjoyed a private dinner on the top-floor penthouse terrace one evening with a private chef creating a tasting menu paired with the sounds of the ocean below.

We enjoyed a group excursion on a beautiful luxury catamaran and spent some fabulous quality time together snorkeling and floating next to the dramatic cliffs of Anguilla.
