Thea & Jacob’s wedding in Vail, Colorado was a four-day celebration planned to coincide with their 9th anniversary as a couple.

WELCOME PARTY
The couple flipped the script for the welcome party and invited their guests to wear all white while they wore “something blue.”

Thea’s Clio Peppiatt dress had motifs from her wedding venue including the bridge and stream. She also wore a dragonfly necklace and butterfly heels from Sophia Webster, which related to the images from the couple’s wedding invitations.

REHEARSAL PARTY
The whimsical rehearsal party was held at Chasing Rabbits in Vail, Colorado where the couple are part of the founding team. The venue consists of a restaurant, a library lounge, an arcade, and a speakeasy, making it a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience. The evening began with dinner before becoming a full-blown party with a magician, DJ, arcade games, and dancing.

WEDDING DAY
The couple were married at the bride’s parent’s ranch, Okanela Ranch Estate. The private property, complete with a sacred circular pond, was destined to be the wedding venue for quite some time as it held special significance for the bride and her family. Redefining a “full circle” moment, Thea’s parents purchased the property some twenty years earlier hoping that Thea would have her wedding there one day!

The vast property was named “Okanela” by its original indigenous residents, with Okanela meaning “rushing waters.” The land features streams, waterfalls, and multiple sacred sites including labyrinths, gardens built following the patterns of the sun, and stone towers representing the seven chakras.

The Lunar Pond where the ceremony was held, is a sacred site on the family’s property. It is an artistic expression of the marriage of the sun and the moon, also seen as the merging of masculine and feminine energies. The environmental art throughout Okanela Ranch is designed to express several images of the sun and moon encompassing each other.
