Venture capitalist Chris Hollod and fashion model Bianca Vierra have developed a shared, deeply authentic passion for angel investing in brands and products at the convergence of culture and wellness, including Magic Spoon, MUD\WTR, JuneShine, AMASS, Jinx, and De Soi. Chris has been a well-known figure in the L.A. venture capital ecosystem since becoming multi-billionaire Ron Burkle’s venture partner in 2009. He also ran A-Grade Investments, a prolific venture fund with Ashton Kutcher, making early investments in several consumer technology companies, including Uber, Airbnb, Pinterest, Square, Box, Shazam, Duolingo, and Spotify.
How They Met
Chris met Bianca, a fashion model with a love for innovation and all things health and wellness, in a movie-like scenario on a plane traveling to Monaco in 2016. The couple fell in love and started their private journey of investing in companies and startups that promote health and wellness.
“They dreamed of eloping in the exclusive Lake Como at the iconic Villa D‘Este where they stayed seven years ago when they first met, so we created a beautiful concept combining their impeccable fashion style with the Italian Dolce Vita vibe,” says Andreea Musat of Azalea Events. “The aesthetic of the wedding day was a mix of relaxed luxury style mixed with soft details of Italian style in Bianca’s makeup, accessories, and Chris‘s tux.”
WHAT THEY WORE
Bianca wore a minimalist Millanova dress for the boat ride moment while Chris pulled out a beautiful casual chic outfit. The couple looked like they were in a movie scene while riding the boat in the scenery of Lake Como at sunset. Bianca then changed into her perfectly tailored Reem Acra wedding dress that felt like a royal moment with the architecture and Fresca of the iconic Villa D‘Este.
