I just returned from ten inspiring days in Turkey, where I attended the 2nd Annual Table Design Exhibition: Celebrate Art & Creativity in Istanbul as a member of the advisory board. Before the exhibition, I had an INCREDIBLE opportunity to visit the beautiful coastal area of Bodrum for a few days as a guest of the Turkish Tourism Board, Go Türkiye. (I’ll share more about my dreamy visit to Bodrum in the next few days; stay tuned!). I was treated to a business-class flight courtesy of Turkish Airlines, which made the travel a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Special thanks must be given to my dear friend Meltem Tepeler, the co-founder of this incredible event and the owner of KM Events, Turkey’s leading wedding planning and design company, for inviting me to the advisory board and to experience this in person. I’d also like to thank and send kudos to Elmas Özler of Bluechip Creative Events, co-founder of the event. At a time when so many of us wish for peace, I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something that brings together designers and event professionals from around the globe. I’d also love to thank the BEAUTIFUL Raffles Hotel Istanbul for my wonderful stay. My suite was luxurious and felt like home for the week, and I had the best in-room hotel breakfast I’ve had anywhere worldwide. (And… of course, the Hammam Spa did NOT disappoint!).
Kudos to this year’s talented guest event designers. Each did an extraordinary job with the creative brief: creating a design that reflected the 100th Anniversary of Turkey. The Hilton Istanbul hosted the exhibition.
