The team at Liberty Entertainment Group, (under the guidance of Nadia Di Donato, the venue’s creative director and mother of the groom!) collectively orchestrated a spectacular one-of-a-kind wedding at Casa Loma filled with love and exceptional attention to detail. In contrast to the heritage of Toronto’s iconic castle, Liberty Group completely transformed the space for this special celebration. From the stables, which served as the ceremony site, to each room within the castle showcasing different cuisines, the entirety of Casa Loma was integrated into the festivities.
This unique full-venue buyout was not your typical wedding; instead of a formal sit-down dinner, the evening showcased food stations throughout the castle, highlighting Liberty Group’s premier restaurant brands: Don Alfonso 1890, BlueBlood Steakhouse, and Cibo Wine Bar. The venue was a floral dream, with thousands of fresh blooms beautifully adorning every castle corner, designed by Infinitude Design. Each room resonated with live performances from various musicians to mirror the modern couple’s passion for music—with the groom being a performer himself. Personalized touches adorned the event, from photo prints in the tunnel chronicling the couple’s journey to custom wine labels for the favors featuring a bottle of Amarone, the couple’s favorite wine.
About The Couple
Justin and Carissa crossed paths in 2009 during their undergraduate studies at the University of Miami in Miami, FL. Their journey continued as they attended medical school together at St. George’s University. Today, both are practicing physicians in the Toronto area.
The duo shares a genuine passion for music and actively participates in the Toronto music scene. Justin is the lead singer of the local Toronto band Cold Weather Captains and even performed a few songs at the wedding.
