Julia and Anthony attended the same high school in King City, Ontario, and met through their best friends (who are now also married!) when she was in the tenth grade and he in the eleventh. They dated for twelve years before getting engaged in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France in November of 2019.
After a Covid-related postponement, the couple set their wedding date for May 20, 2022. Their original plans were to be married outdoors, so when their reception was moved indoors, they wanted to bring the greenery with them!

“I think my favourite moment [from the ceremony] was when my dad gave me away in front of the altar — I remember looking at Anthony, taking his hand and not feeling nervous anymore,” shares Julia. “I realized that all the planning was meant for this moment.”
The bridesmaids and maid of honour wore dresses by AMSALE.
“Julia and Anthony’s tabletop decor was one of our favourites of the year!” admits event planner Michele Cundari of SINCERELY YOURS EVENTS. “It had a mix of traditional and modern elements. It alternated between white and sage and featured different textures. We also rented all of the dishware for dinner service, so that each course was featured on alternating dishes, in theme.”
“Since we had to postpone our original date in 2021 due to Covid, it meant the world that we were finally able to get married and celebrate with the people that matter most to us,” explains Julia.
