High school sweethearts Chelsea and Robert first met at age seventeen on a summer school trip to Calabria, Italy. “Robert will say that he fell in love at first sight on the flight to Italy and that this love grew during the remainder of the trip,” shares Chelsea. Ten years later, Robert arranged for a private proposal to take place on July 25, 2020, at Morellina’s (an Italian restaurant in Toronto, Canada) and they married on June 11, 2022.
After the wedding ceremony at St. David’s Parish, an elegant reception was held at Copper Creek Golf Club in Kleinburg, Canada. “We wanted guests to feel that they were attending an elevated dinner party in Europe,” describes Chelsea. Since they knew not all of their loved ones would be able to travel to Italy (their dream wedding destination) the couple recreated the atmosphere for their wedding in Canada.
