The first annual Table Design Exhibition- Istanbul Capital of Celebrations, sponsored by Karaca, was successfully hosted by the project partners, KM Events Founding Agency President Meltem Tepeler and bluechip Creative Events Founding Agency President Elmas Özler. Held at Raffles Istanbul between 8-10 November 2022, the leading names of the international design and event industry came together and presented their different Istanbul-themed tables, which was a great success for the Turkish event industry.

Eddie Zaratsian, Hollywood-based designer extraordinaire known for his global events and clientele

The project partners of the unique exhibition, KM Events Founding Agency President Meltem Tepeler and bluechip Creative Events Founding Agency President Elmas Özler presented their own table designs. They designed the Atatürk-themed Turkish table, which coincides with the 10th of November, Atatürk- founder of modern Turkey- Commemoration Day.
Also, during the exhibition, a Table Design Competition was organized for designers who are experts in table design. With this competition, an important opportunity was provided to the designers, and it was the first time in Turkey that the world’s most famous designers were on the jury. The winning tables’ were decided by the nine famous designers and the competitors designed the tables with the theme of Istanbul. Melisa Demirhan Var from MH Dream Maker, Erica Jones, and Valerie Francois from O Luxe Design, Inc were the designers who won this table design award.
With the support of Panel Sponsor Yapı Kredi Crystal, panels were also held on topics such as “Why is Istanbul the Capital of Celebrations?”, “The importance of Luxury Events and Weddings in Promoting Cities,” “Art of Celebration,” and ” Gastronomy and Sustainability in Art of Celebration” led by the leading moderators of the field, and attended by international and Turkish opinion leaders. Attendees were also offered special training in Turkish event culture on topics such as “Turkish Grapes in Glasses” and “An Empress at Beylerbeyi Palace.”
