More | Message , this Crazy Rich Asians wedding ended with butterflies released over the newlyweds.

Taking inspiration from the wedding ceremony in the film Crazy Rich Asians, the ceremony aisle of Celeste and Faraaz’s wedding was designed to look like a river lined with open water and ferns, leading to an oversized floral arch with white flowers and tropical greenery. As the wedding was multi-faith, there were two officiants, and at the end of the ceremony, guests released butterflies while the newlyweds walked back down the aisle.

The reception featured a wall of 100 glowing candles placed behind the couple’s sweetheart table and the theme of tropical greenery and white flowers was continued in the floral design. Cultural touches were included throughout, like a drum entrance, sword dance, and the cake cutting using the groom’s own sword.
