Natalie and Thor were married on September 4, 2021, at a private family estate in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Event planning and design assistance was provided by Sincerely Yours Events

The couple exchanged their vows underneath an oversized floral arch overlooking the water. The plein-air woodland setting was also enhanced with a dramatic thirty-foot-long aisle. Natalie arrived in style to the ceremony with her father in a vintage family car. Vintage was a theme woven throughout the day in subtle ways including the bride’s vintage Oscar de la Renta wedding gown.

Natalie wore a vintage Oscar de la Renta Gown gown and vintage jewellery. Her engagement ring also represented ‘something old’ as it once belonged to her maternal great-grandmother. Thor wore a tuxedo by Tom Ford.

The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra provided a string quartet for the ceremony.

The estate’s one-kilometre driveway was lined with paper bag lanterns for a twinkling pathway to and from the event. The design was by Sincerely Yours Events.

The reception was held in an open-air tent from Pinnacle Event Rentals. The beautiful floral and decor inside the tent felt like a natural extension of the outdoor setting. Floral design was provided by Winnipeg’s Beyond Flowers. Several fourteen-foot ficus trees accented with fresh blooms appeared to grow from between the dining tables and served as beautiful focal points for the space.
As a personal touch, a watercolour painting of the couple’s beloved pooch was printed on the menus and the oversized (12ft x 12ft!) seating chart.

Guests enjoyed a four-course plated dinner catered by THE FAIRMONT WINNIPEG. A fun late-night snack was also made available when a pizza truck from GINO’S PIZZA rolled up to the party! A Cigar Lounge featuring tequila, scotch and cognac was also available for guests to relax in, and imbibe.
