Chanel’s Spring Couture 2022 Collection finds its inspiration in the 1920’s Constructivism period in fashion and art. This avant-gard era is manifested in the set built by artist, Xavier Veilhan and artistic director, Virginie Viard’s new take on the Chanel tweed suit while elements of the flapper days are visible in the use of feathers, fringes, filmy chiffon. Veilhan says, “I think that in fashion there is always this idea of a relationship with history, but also of always renewing constantly.” This collection bridges the gap between old and new while delivering timeless looks.
