Pari and Hamed were acquaintances before Hamed decided to take things to the next level and officially ask Pari out on a date in December of 2012. Fast forward nine years and Pari (Director of

to attend what she thought was an industry event! Little did she know that Hamed had called upon her business partner, Sahar, and industry friends to plan the most epic surprise proposal. “When I got to the main ballroom where most of our weddings take place, he was standing on the stage looking more handsome than ever, with the most stunning floral and decor set up and 4 Musketeers playing live music as I walked in,” shares Pari. When Pari reached the stage, which was covered in red rose petals, Hamed proceeded to get down on one knee and Pari, of course, said “Yes!” with Ellen Ho from

on hand to capture the moment. “We have worked with Ellen on so many different occasions, and absolutely love her style and work! Hamed knew instantly who to hire for the proposal and for the wedding as well; she was there every step of the way to capture our love,” shares the bride.
On July 17, 2021, the couple was married at the Groveland Estate in West Vancouver, with the bride’s friend Haleh Tafteh of Details by Haleh Luxury Event Planning and SoFreh Design, helping to create her dream day in less than six weeks. As a destination wedding at the bride’s first choice of location (Lake Como!) was off the table due to Covid-19, planner Haleh worked to transform the venue into the epitome of a romantic Italian garden.
To assist with the execution, Sahar Sarband of Modern Mint Events Inc. was also on hand, providing month and day-of coordination.

The lush floral arch comprised loose dark greenery and groupings of pink and white roses, designed to resemble one found in a traditional Italian country garden. The couple’s traditional Persian ceremony was followed by a civil ceremony officiated by Tony Potters.
Le Marais Décor created the perfect modern take on an Italian country garden. Long white tables and matching Dior chairs were accented with groupings of ‘wild’ garden centerpieces in clear vases. These were in varying shades of nudes, pinks, and whites, adding pops of colour. Larger arrangements from the aisle were placed at the foot of guest tables.
Joconde Patisserie created the statement 5-tier cake, with sugar flowers inspired by the ones on Pari’s gown.
