Jessica and Steve were introduced over cocktails by Steve’s coworker Tania, (who also happens to be Jessica’s sister!). After many months of Tania making subtle hints about a matchmaking possibility with her sister, Steve was finally convinced to meet the duo for drinks one night with friends in July of 2016 and the rest is history. β€œI remember walking up to the table thinking to myself β€˜WOW!’ I was stunned at how beautiful Jessica was,” remembers Steve. As Tania introduced us, I instantly knew Jessica was the one. I got Jessica’s number from Tania and sent her a text that night. I knew from the moment I first laid eyes on Jessica that she was the one I wanted to marry. On May 4th, 2019 at Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse I asked her to spend her life with me.”

The proposal took place the night before Jessica’s birthday and only four days after the pair had closed on their first home together. While Steve had gone to the men’s room, Jessica noticed plenty of waiters beginning to gather close to their table. “I just thought we had ordered some kind of dessert that was prepared tableside,” Jessica recalls. β€œSteve loves that kind of thing! When he came back to the table he sat down, looked like he had seen a ghost, and said, “I’ll be back.” I was left sitting there trying (for the life of me) to figure out what was happening. When he finally sat back down, he was followed by what felt like half of the restaurant’s wait staff and a dessert that said “Happy birthday, and will you marry me?” Steve got down on one knee in front of the entire steakhouse and asked me to marry him. I was completely shocked and remember saying, “Are you sure? We just bought a house!”

The wedding reception took place at Chateau Le Parc.Β β€œWhen we first arrived at the venue on the day of our wedding we were completely blown away. We were finally able to see two years of planning come to life. Then, seeing the faces of our guests as they arrived to see everything (including our floral arch!) was the icing on the cake.”  – Jessica, BRIDE
"As our plans continued to shift with the COVID-19 pandemic and our venue moved outdoors to accommodate the number of guests we wanted to have, our vision was a blend of Toronto's Restoration Hardware Courtyard meets an Italian Secret Garden." – Jessica, BRIDE

The reception was an elegant garden-inspired soiree with lots of greenery and a variety of ranunculus, roses, lisianthus flowers which provided bright pops of color.Β  The bride and groom sat under a flower-adorned wrought iron canopy, a mixture of crystal chandeliers, crystal candlesticks, and crystal flower-filled vases filled the tables.
