Ceci and Allen first met in 2008 while attending the same high school in Montreal. Shortly after the couple embarked on a five-year long-distance relationship as they attended university in different cities. On their 13th anniversary, Allen took Ceci by complete surprise when he popped the question on a hike to the stunning Garibaldi Lake!
The couple initially had their hearts set on a destination wedding but a certain global pandemic quickly changed this to an intimate but chic wedding in the city, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Ceci and Allen were married on July 28, 2021, in an alfresco ceremony at The University Women’s Club of Vancouver at Hycroft. Liting Chan of Paradise Events brought their vision of an elegant, timeless, white wedding to life, providing full-service planning, floral, decor, and event design services.
“Liting understood my vision and brought it to life better than I could have imagined. She literally helped me with everything. She’s so easy to communicate with, resourceful, and knowledgeable in her field. I wouldn’t have had such a perfect wedding without her,” shares the bride.

It was important for Ceci, a fashion blogger, that the design of the day have an editorial feel and Paradise Events worked to create a cohesive dreamy design, inspired by Ceci’s cloud-like Vera Wang gown.

The focal point of the ceremony design was an all-white floral arch, covered in fresh delphinium, white roses, and hanging white orchids. Clear ceremony chairs were placed on either side of the aisle adding a simple, modern touch.
