Priscila first met Jonathan, a professional soccer player, in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida. In contrast, their proposal took place in New York City on one of the coldest nights ever recorded, New Year’s Eve, 2018. Jonathan planned the surprise proposal in the middle of Central Park, with a group of Priscila’s friends on standby to surprise her and join in the post “YES!” celebration!

The couple tied the knot in August of 2020 with 20 in-person guests, and through the same-day coordination of En Rose Event Specialists & Invitation Boutique and Caribbean-based coordinator, Karina Montilla, friends and family in South America tuned in to for a virtual celebration from home.

Priscila and Jonathan’s spectacular pampas grass-filled wedding was first featured in the Summer/Fall 2021 Toronto Edition of WedLuxe Magazine.

The bride wore a romantic ruffled chiffon gown, custom-made by designer Najla Rahimi. Priscila’s headband of delicately sculpted flowers was handmade by Vivi Embellish. A pair of Bella Belle heels with a tulle bow completed her look.

The alfresco ceremony took place at the base of a beautiful old tree, overlooking the golf course. The couple added a few special touches to the ceremony, including the release of coloured smoke after they said their “I do’s” along with a champagne toast that “virtually” included guests from around the world.

A wedding is still possible amidst Covid-19, and it can be as beautiful as you always thought it would be.

- Priscila, Bride

Precious Flowers Event Design created an intimate setting for twenty guests, with two long tables of ten. The couple wanted to focus on pampas grass and preserved florals, with a sophisticated and romantic feel. A luxurious four-course meal was enjoyed by the 20 guests in attendance.
