Mallory and John met when they were set up by mutual friends, and had an instant connection on their first date. Needless to say, they’ve been inseparable ever since! Their romantic proposal took place over breakfast in bed, as Mallory describes, “John prepared a delicious breakfast, and after delivering it to me in bed, I looked over to the side, and he was down on one knee with tears in his eyes, asking me to marry him!”
The couple was married in September of 2019 at the iconic Case Loma in Toronto, Ontario, at a dreamy all-white wedding the couple had planned together with the help of the venue’s coordinator, Alana Hogan. “The best part of planning our wedding together was all the additional time we were able to spend together planning it. From venue selection to food/wine tasting, and all the time spent up to the last detail, we had a blast putting it together,” shares Mallory.

After spotting The Paper Boutique’s laser cut designs at the WedLuxe Show, Mallory knew they were the perfect stationer for their big day! “The Paper Boutique allowed us to fully customize the invitations from font style to the card texture and foil. We customized the envelopes and inserts to match our all-white theme with gold accents,” shares Mallory.
Mallory wore a fitted Berta mermaid gown purchased at White Toronto. The gown featured a sheer bodice overlay with long sleeves, covered with embroidery. This was complimented by the Daphne Newman ‘Catarina’ veil. Mallory also wore a gold ‘Love Bracelet’ from Cartier which was a gift from John to commemorate their wedding day.
A late afternoon ceremony took place in the Conservatory of Casa Loma, making the most of the venue’s incredible stained glass ceiling. Rachel A. Clingen Wedding and Event Design provided event design, floral and decor for the day. “The most memorable moment was watching my wife-to-be walk down the aisle while standing in the most beautiful surroundings imaginable,” shares John.
The paper boutique created the couple’s unique seating chart which used laser engraving on stacked plexiglass boxes. they also designed a welcome’s sign to match with the couple’s names and wedding date. The Library at Casa Loma became a magical all-white garden for Mallory and John’s reception. The Liberty Entertainment Group provided all catering for the evening.
