If Shireen and Shayan’s wedding isn’t #weddinggoals, we don’t know what is! “Our color scheme was white, gold, and green with a hint of blush. We wanted to bring a secret garden fairytale to Vancouver in the middle of winter.
“Both Shayan and I are Iranian; however, I grew up in the United States, and Shayan grew up in England. Because of this, we had two different ideas of what ‘traditional’ meant. We wanted to combine both of our worlds, so in addition to our civil ceremony, we also had Persian (Iranian Sofreh Aghd) and Baha’i ceremonies. Combining these cultures and allowing our family and friends to experience the two worlds coming together was very memorable for both of us,” shares Shireen.
Our venue, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, is known as ‘the castle,’ so we loved the idea of re-creating the Palace de Versailles, with our greenery, floral arrangements, and large candelabras.
