Ava and Jonathan’s wedding (seen in the Fall 2020 Vancouver Edition of WedLuxe) was a romantic, garden affair! Blush draping created a rosy-hue to the event, complemented by pink napkins and emerald candles. However, it was the place settings that had guests swooning, with green plates, pink glassware, gold-rimmed chargers, and black and gold flatware. The bride was very involved in the design process and cited her wedding as the inspiration for creating her tableware business, Citrine Curation. “I ended up buying my own dinnerware, glassware, and flatware sets because we couldn’t find a vendor at the time who could supply exactly what I wanted. Having all these products actually gave me an idea to turn it into a business,” shares Ava.
“The priest who officiated our wedding is a family friend. He flew in from Philadelphia just for us, so that was really special. We followed a traditional Filipino wedding service which included the veil, candle, and coin ceremonies. Our two boys read our vows for us, which made pretty much everyone cry. It was a beautiful ceremony,” recalls Ava.
