We are in alfresco wedding HEAVEN today! With the perfect blend of warm welcomes and vibrant fresh florals, Alison and Daniel’s “I dos,” are the epitome of a summer garden romance. The beautiful tented reception is also the perfect inspiration for one of the biggest trends we’re seeing right now; the ‘at home’ wedding. “The theme of our wedding was Chic Garden Elegance. Even though our wedding was on our property, we still wanted it to be elegant but also relaxed. It was everything I dreamt of and more,” shares the bride.
The bridal bouquet was a slightly cascading organic and loose bouquet with lots of shape, texture and romance. The bouquet was predominantly white blooms with splashes of colour and organic greenery. It featured a wide array of flowers including a prominent dahlia, amnesia roses, ranunculus, anemones, bunny tail grass, and wild strawberries peppered throughout.
En route to the ceremony was a half-way bar nestled in an open-frame shed the bride’s family had built. As guests continued through the grove past the half-way bar, stained glass windows, collected by the bride’s mother, lined the winding walk path leading to the ceremony. Entering the grove opening leading up to the pergola lookout serving as the couple’s altar, featured rows of wooden church pews the bride’s mother had found, as well as casual cocktail tables lining the back for guests to perch with a cool beverage from the halfway bar.
