At R5 Event Design, we believe that special occasions are a work of art – a visual and experiential feast for the eyes that honours the hearts and imaginations of those celebrating their special day – or any celebration for that matter. Our primary focus is designing a tailored event that mirrors the unique energy of every client through specialty floral, lighting and décor – all of which we handle in-house as a full-service décor and production company.
What sets you apart from other decor companies out there? A one-of-a-kind occasion deserves a one-of-a-kind experience. Whether it’s a couple’s special day or an exquisite reason for a party, we make it a top priority to cultivate a trusting bond with our clients so we can really get to know them. From their passions and interests to favourite colour palettes and style preferences, we learn as much as we can about their intentions so that we can create a vision that compliments what inspires them.
Our masterful creative team is always travelling the world to custom design artistic decor, furniture and specialty pieces for high-end events, providing memorably innovative experiences for our clients. Each design is created by us, drawn first on paper and then rendered in 3D, to ensure something personal and bespoke each and every time. Alignment through creativity is what drives us – there is no better feeling than designing an unparalleled event for a client who has opened up their world to us for expression.
What’s your process when someone books a consultation with you?
First off, we’d like to learn about our clients and the idea attached to their events. What do they love, what’s their style, how many guests, where is the event taking place. After we get to know you and your event, we typically schedule a meeting in our showroom, and that’s where the fun begins. Once the coffee is poured, we begin the conversation by asking questions about the foundational elements of their event. Is there a specific design inspiration? A theme? How many guests will be attending? Has a particular venue piqued your interest? After we lay the groundwork for the foundation of the event, we typically schedule a private meeting in our showroom – this is where the clients get to find their magic.
How far in advance should a couple book with you? Ideally, a couple should get in touch with us as soon as they get engaged! Believe it or not, some of our wedding clients book up to two years in advance, so it’s crucial to call right away and secure a date. If you just got engaged, We’ll make sure to get you in our books for a consultation right away so that we can discuss the details.
How would you describe your signature design style? We’re most renowned for our architectural approach to design – focusing on conceptualizing and creating uniquely elemental pieces for dreamy weddings. R5’s signature event style is extraordinary, imaginative, yet clean and cohesive. What’s an example of this innovative design work? One of our favourite things to develop is an intricate, modern floral ceiling structure woven together against divine backdrops. While still maintaining clean lines and an elegant touch with our furniture pieces, these gorgeous overhead gardens are always a head turner – our clients tend to fall in love with them at first sight.

Consistently researching new trends and testing groundbreaking ideas in our creative studio, we’re dedicated to continued explorations in artistic expression. Our team is currently expanding our rental collections and brainstorming novel ideas for presentation. This means we’ll be offering even more inventive options for our clients’ unique visions.
