Celebrating the design + style of luxe weddings across canada, the usa + beyond

With our newest issue in circulation we have been hearing wonderful feedback about our Vintage Glamour theme. The show-stopper Modern Starlet gown feature was photographed by the incredibly talented (and far too humble given her God-given talents) Leanne Pedersen of Leanne Pedersen Photography. I wanted to publicly thank Leanne for her talents, time and friendship. As well, I want to mention the incredible work of Sam Jocelyn – the lead stylist / hair and makeup artist who pulled it all together. With the assistance of June Jocelyn (Yes they have the same last name. . . they’re an incredibly gifted and sought-after daughter/mother team). Sam and June knew exactly what look we wanted to achieve and were a pleasure to work with. Thanks ladies.

Don’t forget to watch the beautiful behind-the-scenes high-definition video footage of the gown shoot filmed by Bruce Patterson of Cloud Nine Creative Inc.

Alright. I can’t stand it any longer. I simply MUST do an entry about our incredible follow-up, second edition. Available in just about two weeks, our Spring/Summer issue is now printed! I have just finished the press check for all of the pages… it’s a beauty. Admittedly I didn’t get a ton of sleep this week (about 2 hours a night) but the final result was worth it.

Here’s a sneak peek of just SOME of what’s inside…

Vancouverites are accustomed to a certain “wedding buzz” that happens across the city every year during the first few weeks of January. This can be attributed to the fact that for 28 years, Wedding Fair has been delighting local brides and grooms with a huge tradeshow that attracts thousands of people annually.

With over $100,000 in prizes (over 1200 unique prize draws over the course of two days) and a Grand Prize of an $87,000 Dream Wedding you don’t want to miss this show!

As a platinum exhibitor this year, we will be handing out copies of our beautiful premiere issue to each and every bride that attends.

I look forward to seeing you there!

I had the delightful pleasure of attending the highly anticipated opening of the Vancouver Tiffany & Co store this morning! Press and industry insiders were dazzled with diamonds and delicacies at the newest home of the famed jewelry company. (For the last 15 yrs discerning buyers in Toronto have been the only other Canadians lucky enough to have easy access to the goodies in the ‘little blue boxes.’)

Of course I scoped out the engagement & wedding ring section and found no shortage of breathtaking rings. (Oh how I love my job!).

Referencing the 4 “C’s” *(Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat) the helpful staff displayed two jaw-dropping rings that were both approximately 2 carats and set in the traditional Tiffany solitaire setting (in platinum). The difference? A 2.06ct/I Colour/ VS2 clarity could be yours for $30,400. The same size stone with a G/VVSI was priced at $66,500.

There was certainly no shortage of beautiful gift items for bridesmaids, your groom or even special keepsake items for your parents.

Conveniently located across the street from the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver (at the corner of Burrard at Alberni) I say grab a girlfriend and make a lunch date this weekend! Saunter into the world of fine things at Tiffany and indulge. Audrey Hepburn would be proud!
