WedLuxe, an established luxury wedding media company with print, digital, social media, and event platforms, is looking for a talented, creative, and trend-aware Graphic Designer.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for producing effective, original, and creative designs for several brands; primarily, WedLuxe, an established luxury wedding media company owned by Cloud Nine Creative Agency.  Our agency also provides graphic design services for clients within the tourism, wedding, and event industries.

This position requires a multi-faceted designer with a decidedly feminine design style. The candidate will be capable of conceptualizing, ideating, designing, and independently producing everything from print/digital magazine layouts, WordPress or Showit websites, branding projects, ad campaigns, marketing materials, and event signage, to social media graphics.

Candidates should value working in a small team environment where the designer is expected to self-manage their time while demonstrating a team-player attitude. Excellent communication skills are a big part of this job. The ability to adapt to the WedLuxe brand aesthetic and an appreciation for trends, fonts, fashion, interior design, art, historical design references, and lifestyle design is also imperative. 

An excellent portfolio showcasing a cross-section of design projects is essential to proceed to the interview stage.

REQUIREMENTS

• Feminine, luxurious design style and sensibility
• Bachelor’s degree OR College Diploma from a recognized 3-year design program (DESKTOP PUBLISHING COURSES do not qualify)
• 3-5 years of hands-on professional design experience
• Impeccable typographic skills
• Able to generate clear ideas, mood boards, concepts, and original designs 
• Organized, responsible, and dedicated with the ability to work on multiple projects at one time and deliver refined designs in a short time frame
• Great time management skills
• Able to meet deadlines or communicate when extensions are needed
• Must be able to design beautiful websites using WordPress and/or Showit 
• Some understanding of print production 
• Extremely detailed and accuracy-oriented
• Comfortable receiving constructive feedback in design critiques 
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
• ShowIt or WordPress Design Skills
• Skilled in Canva (we use this app to create social media graphics) 
• Excellent command of the English language 

COMPENSATION:

We’re a performance-driven business. The STARTING salary for this position is between 45-55k and is negotiable, dependent on the level of experience. Raises and perks are offered after the first year of employment to staff who prove themselves invaluable to the team.
