We are a creative, Mac-based publishing company specializing in luxury weddings and events. We are searching for a winter/spring intern for our Toronto office who has the desire to experience all aspects of publishing (editorial, social, design) and can work in a fast-paced environment.

You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and in need of an internship for school credit. You are a hard-working individual with top-notch time management skills who takes initiative and can work independently or on a team. You have a love of fashion, beauty, flowers, and of course weddings and extraordinary events! You can juggle multiple tasks at once and always want to pitch in where needed.

Internship Dates: January-April 2022

If you’re the right person for the job, here are the specific tasks of the position:

• Pin and tag content from WedLuxe.com daily to social media sites

• Organize and upload new digital submissions

• Watermark images and create daily blog posts as needed

• Update image galleries with credits and tags as needed

• Create social media posts and corresponding vendor credits for new daily blog posts

• Help source images for social media  

• Help create reels and design IG stories to promote WedLuxe members as needed

• Update and maintain our client database

• Assist with the packaging and shipping of magazines and researching potential new distribution points

• Contribute to the production of our S/F 2022 issue by assisting the editorial team 

REQUIREMENTS

• Eligible for school credit

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Fashion, Design, Communications, Marketing, Publishing, or another related field

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Proficient on a Mac computer 

• Strong time management/organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision 

• Experience in writing and social media (Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)

• Working knowledge of WordPress 

• Proficient with Adobe Photoshop (Please let us know in your cover letter if you also have experience with Adobe InDesign)

• Candidate must be available to start late January 2022

• Candidate is ideally available to work a minimum of three days per week (9:30-5:30).

Please note: Currently this is an unpaid position, however, this is a great opportunity to build your portfolio with valuable work experience and establish yourself in the industry.
