Account Manager - TORONTO

Due to an executive-level promotion for one of our star employees, WedLuxe Media, Canada’s #1 luxury wedding media platform is looking to add an Account Manager to our Toronto-based team. We are a well-established and growing brand and we want to hire our next long-term team player.

We are seeking a go-getter to renew and maintain current client accounts. In addition, you will consult on and sell advertising packages to new vetted leads within the luxury wedding and event industry.  Previous sales experience is a HUGE asset but what we really want is a professional, team player attitude and the willingness to learn EVERYTHING about our clients, our company, and the various packages we offer. An ability to research new leads, communicate effectively on email and most importantly close sales professionally is essential.

We want an account manager who is driven by a consultative and relationship-based approach to sales. We’re not looking for a “schmoozer” or an “expense account” kind of account manager. Our clients are busy entrepreneurs who need you to communicate with them on email, by phone, or by DM on social media. Our clients expect us to prove that WedLuxe is a worthwhile marketing platform. They ask many valid questions about the many options we offer. You will deliver on, and exceed their expectations by creating and sharing personalized case studies using consumer testimonials and real data. You’ll be genuinely excited about what we can offer them and how we can help them meet their business goals. Sales at WedLuxe are primarily generated by email and social media messaging. In-person client meetings are rare. It is a fast-paced, demanding environment but you have a team of designers, writers, social media coordinators, and admin support to assist you. You must have incredible customer service and interpersonal skills, persistence, a “thick skin,” and the desire and ability to exceed revenue goals and deadlines.

We will teach you everything you need to know in order to succeed but you must have a genuine interest in weddings, events, and a willingness to understand and respect our unique client base. The growth and financial opportunities for this role are unlimited for a candidate with the right attitude and abilities.  

Past experience with agencies, as well as a strong understanding of agency planning & buying cycles is also ideal. 

If you’re the right person for the job, here are the specifics tasks of the position:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain and renew current accounts and secure new clients by email, phone, messaging and meetings, where required. 
  2. Develop real connections through professional networking and attending industry conferences on behalf of WedLuxe.
  3. Use a consultative approach by offering strategic media solutions with all clients.
  4. Create compelling sales propositions utilizing internal and external data, market trends and case studies.
  5. Liaise with other team members on sales materials, presentations, and proposals where necessary.
  6. Maintain, develop, and implement best practices for client interaction, sales, and services.
  7. Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.
  8. Update clients on WedLuxe products, developments and educate clients and agencies on best practices.
  9. Demonstrate expert knowledge of social media, cross-platform marketing, and event sponsorships.
  10. Cooperatively engaging with team members on evaluating processes and systems to improve efficiencies 
  11. Meet weekly for sales updates with the publisher and other sales staff
  12. Maintain accurate records using the company database and following all internal protocol 
  13. Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and adjust message and/or placements as needed
  14. Attention to detail and commitment to quality

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE


COMPENSATION:

Pay is base salary, plus commission. Total compensation is based on performance and ranges from $30,000 (base) to over $80,000+ annually. Base pay is negotiable after six months, once you prove your ability.
