For Fall 2019, Oscar de la Renta showcased a rather diverse collection of bridal gowns. Catering to customers around the world, designers Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, sought to create both universal “borderless” styles, as well as pieces imagined for a specific kind of bride.
Deciding what to wear to a royal wedding is no easy task, which is why Suits actor Gabriel Macht entrusted the experienced tailors at Garrison Bespoke with custom-creating his formalwear for the most important event of the year: The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
First up was the modern version of a morning suit. Focusing on the details, the bespoke suit was made in an updated cloth and monochromatic palette, respecting tradition but also updating it through modern fabrication and a fit specific to Gabriel. Everything from the modernized waistcoat to the hand-stitched monogrammed handkerchief and necktie bearing the actor’s initials, made this royal ensemble extra special.
As an alternative, a corduroy lounge suit was also created for the occasion. The team at Garrison Bespoke sourced all fabric straight from England and made it by hand at their atelier in Toronto, Canada.
