The couple’s story began years earlier on New Year’s Eve when Erica met Matthew at a party hosted by her brother—who also happened to be Matthew’s close friend. What started as a quiet connection quickly deepened, and after more than seven years together, Matthew proposed during a peaceful hike in Halton Hills, capturing the moment on camera as though they were simply filming a travel memory.
