Melissa and Anthony’s love story has all the makings of a true modern-day romance – complete with high school butterflies, years of growing together, and ultimately, the dream of a fairytale wedding in Toronto. The couple first met in 2011 at a high school dance, when Melissa was just 15 and Anthony had recently turned 17. Introduced by mutual friends, they felt an instant connection that lasted long beyond the night. A sweet text from Anthony later that evening sealed the spark, and within weeks, they were officially inseparable. Over the years, Melissa’s family immediately recognized Anthony’s charm and unwavering devotion, while Melissa’s grandparents, celebrating 70 years of marriage, lovingly watched their granddaughter’s relationship flourish.
After a decade of shared milestones, university days, and endless adventures, Anthony planned a breathtaking proposal in August 2022. Knowing Melissa longed for a fairytale moment, he led her on what she thought was a traditional date night, only to surprise her with a helicopter ride from Billy Bishop Airport. Despite his fear of heights, Anthony proposed mid-flight, creating a memory as extraordinary as their love story. The evening continued with dinner at LOUIX LOUIS and a romantic stay at Toronto’s Fairmont Hotel.
When it came time to plan their fairytale wedding in Toronto, Melissa and Anthony chose St. Clare’s Roman Catholic Church for their ceremony, followed by an enchanting reception at the historic Casa Loma. The day began with Melissa getting ready with her bridesmaids, while Anthony shared meaningful moments at his childhood home. Despite a rainy limo ride to the church, the skies cleared just as the couple emerged as husband and wife—a moment that felt destined. At Casa Loma, their vision of a romantic fairytale wedding in Toronto came to life, with powder blue and white floral décor masterfully designed by WedLuxe Member Wild Theory Floral and Event Design. The glass pavilion glowed with elegance, offering the perfect setting for 13 years of love to be celebrated. With family, friends, and the artistry of 515 Photo Co. capturing every detail, Melissa and Anthony’s wedding was the realization of a long-awaited dream—timeless, magical, and unforgettable.
