This wedding dazzled with a dramatic red and black palette inspired by the couple’s Middle Eastern, Italian, and Hispanic heritage—where red roses symbolize love, passion, and celebration. From the suspended rose centerpiece to the cascading “waterfall” backdrop, every floral detail told a story of romance and cultural richness.
Mariam Emeid and Marc Anthony Di Nenno’s love story began in 2016 when they met by chance in a Business 101 class at Humber College. Their friendship quickly blossomed into romance, growing stronger over five years filled with shared adventures and deep connection. In February 2023, Marc Anthony surprised Mariam with a heartfelt proposal during a snowy walk near their family cottage, where rose petals marked the path to a magical moment by a frozen lake. Their wedding day, held at the elegant Arlington Estate in Kleinburg, Ontario, was a stunning celebration of their journey together. to bring Mariam’s romantic aesthetic to life. Rose Tenuta of Bridal Solutions Inc. managed the day-of coordination to ensure flawless timing and vendor execution.
Mariam dazzled in the “Constellation” gown by Atelier Pronovias,hand-beaded with intricate embellishments that shimmered subtly in the evening light. Marc Anthony wore a bespoke double-breasted tuxedo crafted from luxurious Vitale Barberis wool by Per Lui, featuring subtle red piping to complement the romantic red rose theme of the reception and a custom inner lining adorned with images of the couple.
ELEGANT ENERGY
The reception had an amazing energy, with a 10-piece band setting the mood from dinner straight through to the dance floor, blending soulful melodies and upbeat rhythms that kept guests engaged all evening. Elegant floral installations, a showstopper wedding cake, and carefully curated lighting enhanced the timeless ambiance, creating a warm and inviting backdrop for celebration. Later, Mariam changed into her dazzling second outfit—a beaded mini dress by Bronx and Banco—just in time for Lebanese-Canadian singer Karl Wolf, known for his catchy blend of R&B, pop, and Middle Eastern beats and his viral cover of Africa, to take the stage and get everyone moving. The night was capped off with a spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the sky and creating a magical finale to an unforgettable celebration.After the wedding, Mariam and Marc Anthony spent two and a half weeks exploring Europe, hitting up Mallorca’s beaches, wandering Rome’s historic streets, soaking in Puglia’s stunning landscapes, and diving into Barcelona’s lively culture. A standout moment? Dinner at Grotta Palazzese, a jaw-dropping restaurant inside a cliffside cave that’s equal parts romantic and adventurous. Now based in Tottenham, just outside Toronto, Mariam’s a Junior Controller, and Marc Anthony runs his own millwork business.
