The Couple: Dina and Christian
Dina and Christian first met at a Pizzeria, where Christian was working. Dina was there with her father, who first took notice of Christian’s striking blue eyes and commented about them to his then-single daughter. Dina had already noticed them too, but having her father’s stamp of approval was something she valued. (Later on, it would be her father who proudly claimed to have “discovered” Christian!).
The couple’s first date was a double date with Christian’s brother, Alex. Throughout the date, Christian made a point not to laugh at any of her jokes and pretended to be mean. As soon as they were alone, Christian pulled her aside during a game of air hockey and confessed, “Hey, I’m not actually mean, I was just faking it.” On their next date, Christian looked her in the eyes and immediately introduced her to all his friends as his girlfriend and the rest is history.
Sadly, Dina’s dad passed away before he could witness the wedding, but the attendance of a VERY special guest (the couple’s infant son) brought true joy to the day.
This Bride Knows Bridal Fashion!
As the owner of a bridal gown boutique, Dina naturally chose to wear three different gowns for her wedding, all from her own store.
The couple were married in Toronto, Canada. Their wedding was inspired by Art Deco vibes, echoing both The Great Gatsby and Miami in its Art Deco heyday. Wild Theory Floral & Event Design achieved this look with warm, tropical floral elements. The ceremony space was adorned with tropical Monstera leaves, forming a floor arch encircling the couple at the altar while the reception’s head table featured a large geometric backdrop with hanging globe tea lights, surrounded by floral swags on and around the glass table.
