Alexa first met Paul in the ninth grade. They had lockers in the same hallway at their high school, so they were constantly running into one another, sparking conversation. They were good friends for a long time, and finally began dating at the end of the twelfth grade.
Paul proposed to Alexa by the water at sunset in Lisbon, Portugal. Earlier, Alexa had been taking longer to get ready for dinner, so Paul — anxious to make it to the water before sunset — raced to park their car and insisted on a walk before their dinner reservation. “Because we were rushing he ended up taking me to the wrong side of where the sunset actually was. He made the most of it and took me to the water where he asked me to take a picture of him (which is very unlike him because he hates pictures),” shared Alexa. Next, Paul offered to take a picture of Alexa. She walked towards the photo spot, and when she turned around, Paul was on one knee asking her to marry him!
The couple was married on August 27, 2021. Initially, Alexa and Paul had planned a banquet hall wedding with over 350 guests. Due to Covid-19, their theme and vision changed to an intimate European-inspired vineyard wedding, planned and designed by
