Belize is THE travel destination if you’re seeking a honeymoon full of adventure! We’re sharing a top-three list of things to do (and where to stay to experience them!) that you won’t want to miss out on — from tours of lush rainforests to ancient Mayan sites and more.

Aerial Tour of The Blue Hole

Take flight via helicopter for an aerial tour of the iconic Blue Hole and Turneffe Islands. The Great Blue Hole is the largest marine sinkhole in the world, and it’s a spectacular sight that’s always camera-ready!

After capturing a stunning photo for Instagram, return to Matachica Resort & Spa to enjoy an open-air dining experience with award-winning cuisine at Mambo Restaurant. Don’t forget to stop at the equally charming Danny’s Tree Bar for a quick aperitivo!

Caving at the Crystal Cave

Looking for an adventure? Set out on an early morning hike through the rainforest to arrive at the Crystal Cave. Located in the district of Cayo is this glittering cave system, with descents of up to 600 feet (fear of heights and enclosed spaces be warned!). You won’t want to miss the “cathedral” chamber and its magnificent crystal formations!

Your adventure begins in the tropical jungles of west Belize with a stay at Ka’ana Resort, where you can enjoy the tranquil sounds of the rainforest poolside of your own private villa.

Jungle River Adventure to Lamanai Ruins

To experience this top attraction, travel by boat up the scenic New River to the entrance of the New River Lagoon — this is where you’ll catch your first glimpse of the Lamanai Ruins! On your tour of this once-major city, you’ll be immersed in the sounds of the rainforest and ancient Mayan culture.

Head back to the Victoria House Resort & Spa on Ambergris Caye and relax with a visit to the on-site spa! The menu of treatments features locally-sourced products and tropical vibes, including a hibiscus honey hair masque and restorative coco body polish.
