Danielle and Davide met in middle school (almost 16 years ago!) and very shortly after became close friends. “We continued to remain best friends throughout high school until things changed in our final year,” shares Danielle. “As two people who spent practically all their time together we decided to take a leap of faith and start dating (December 21, 2010, to be exact).
“Davide proposed to Danielle at The Broadview Hotel, where they had spent the night celebrating the birthday of a close friend. “We had brunch reservations in the morning which was nothing out of the ordinary,” Danielle remembers. “When we went downstairs to the restaurant for our reservation, they informed us that there had been some sort of error and they didn’t have a table for us. I thought nothing of it and turned to Davide thinking we’d find elsewhere to go. The restaurant insisted we stay and that they could accommodate us upstairs on their rooftop. We went upstairs for me to find a room on their rooftop patio filled with candles and flowers. I immediately knew I had been played and what was about to happen. It was the best feeling ever.”
The couple was married on September 3, 2021. Renata De Thomasis-Rollins of
RDT Events + Beauty
was hired for full-service planning, decor, and design assistance. “Danielle really wanted the wedding day to feel warm and romantic,” shares Renata. With the bride’s wishes in mind, Renata coined the design vibe, “regal elegance with a twist.”

designed the couple’s wedding invitations that featured a custom D&D monogram to symbolize the joining of the two families. The couple’s nine-month-old King Charles, Milo, joined Davide in the pre-wedding festivities.
The reception was held at The Arlington Estate with floral designs by
Rachel A. Clingen Wedding & Event Design
. Danielle, an interior designer, was heavily involved in the design process.
The dance floor and lounge area were a focal point of the reception. Lounge sets framed the dance floor in rich velvet, allowing guests to stay comfortable and connected to the party.
