A painting like Francis Bacon’s “1946” is not your typical source of conventional wedding inspiration. While the great artist’s works typically touch on themes of anguish and distress, and are what some would call disturbing in nature, this did not stop Gretchen Culver of Rocket Science Weddings and Events from finding beauty in the darkness. As the creative designer of this styled shoot said, “it is easy to use beautiful art to inspire beautiful design. I wanted to flex my creative muscle.” And flex this muscle, she certainly did.
